About Us

Water United was born as an evolution from a collaboration between Microsoft and FIDO Tech to reduce water network losses through the power of actionable artificial intelligence (AI). Recognizing that impact happens at scale, Water United was forged to expand to a larger community of basin-level stakeholders, uniting the public and private sectors to accelerate water action.

Founding partners include Microsoft, PepsiCo, Oldcastle Infrastructure, FIDO Tech, Water Foundry and Atlantean Media.

Together, we are building a catalytic community to unite the best minds. Technologists, multinational water stewardship leaders, academics, forward-thinking water utilities and NGOs. Let’s all work to solve the Colorado River Basin’s biggest challenges.

Within this community, we are forming commercial partnerships that will drive quantifiable, verifiable impact at scale and speed.

Building an AI watershed model is a mammoth task, but success could change the way we manage water forever, with lasting benefits for our society, our economies and the environment anywhere in the world. Not just here in the Colorado basin.
