At WaterAid, we tackle the reasons why people are living without these basic human rights. And while installing taps and toilets is essential, we also do so much more.
In 18 countries across Africa, we’re working with local partners to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, including children like Sombougoma.
To make lasting change happen on a massive scale, we influence governments to change laws, link national and international policy makers with people on the ground, work with others to pool knowledge and resources, and rally support from people and organisations around the world.
785 million people in the world – one in ten – do not have clean water close to home. We'll keep working until everyone, everywhere has clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene. But we can’t do it without you.
