Job Description
For 20 plus years, WaterTectonics has designed, manufactured, deployed, and serviced advanced water treatment systems for clients in oil & gas, mining, industrial and construction applications. Position Purpose

The Field Service Technician team is responsible to provide stormwater and groundwater remediation at job site locations within the construction and industrial industries. With occasional work within the Oil/Gas and Mining industries. As part of a dynamic field service team your duties will rotate to all operational areas, initially focusing on many of the following:

· Monitoring and operating of Water Treatment Equipment to achieve maximum efficiency, reliability and safety. Notifying supervisor of maintenance, safety or any other issues that arise.

· Installation, maintenance and repair of Water Treatment Equipment concentrating in the area of system controls and PLC operations.

· Aid in the development, implementation and modification of onsite water treatment systems.

· Participate and assist in the development & implementation of team strategy and operational plans.

· Collects Water Quality Samples using appropriate sampling equipment and field instruments

· Calibration of instrumentation and consumable injection systems in accordance with the water treatment plan and equipment specifications.

· Maintain facility analytical equipment as well as all associated instrumentation.

· Liaison both internally and externally with personnel of various functional backgrounds.

· Notifies Company Purchaser of equipment/consumable usages and demands

· Follows all job site and company safety policies and procedures

· Follows current policies, procedures and regulations placed into effect by Federal, State and Local Environmental regulations.

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

· Intermediate Knowledge of Water Treatment equipment; ie. Sand filters, pumps, hoses, etc.

· Strong knowledge and ability using various power tools, mechanical/electrical devices.

· Education or professional experience installing and troubleshooting electrical control circuits and PLCs.

· Knowledge of Water Quality testing procedures

· Knowledge of Water Quality Discharge Regulations

· Basic Knowledge of Remediation Water Chemistry

· Basic ability to read and interpret customer documentation, specifications, prints and drawings.

· Intermediate ability to perform a series of procedural steps, detect and resolve errors.

· Mechanically Inclined; basic understanding of mechanical installation and troubleshooting

· Basic understanding and use of established safety practices.

· Field experience and direct client relations (1 year hands-on experience).

· Preference to candidate with Mechanical or Electrical Experience.

· Minimum 1 year of technical vocation or equivalent experience

· Prior Experience in the Water Treatment Industry

Education & Preferred Certifications

· Educational and/or professional background in electrical control systems or related.

· Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (CESCL), Preferred

· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and Insurance in Good Standing, Required

Environmental/Physical Demands

· Must be able to lift/carry materials up to a maximum of 75lbs, move about an uneven outdoor site.

· Communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone or in person, and complete required paperwork.

· Subject to long, irregular hours.

· Requires extended periods of crawling, climbing, bending, pulling, working in tight places, walking and standing, up to 100% of a workday.

· Ability to travel domestically up to 25% - 35% of the time.

· Work conditions will vary with duty and responsibilities:

Field: will require outside activity, sometimes during heavy rain and/or freezing temperatures.

Manufacturing: will require work in a fast pace staging, production and manufacturing environment.
