Project: ‘Poverty Reduction, Food Security and Peace Promotion in Grand Kru Province’ The population of the Province Grand Kru enhances its livelihood and use resources sustainable and strengthen their social cohesion. Intervention areas:

-Infrastructure Development: Construction of feeder roads, bridges, community centres, training of road management committees

-Agricultural & Livelihood Development: focus on training of small-holder farmers, development of rice fields (swamp development), nurseries (coco, coffee, oil palm), construction of warehouses and markets, seed multiplication, diversification and improvement of agricultural techniques e.g. sweet potatoes, coffee, palm oil, coco, fish ponds, bee keeping, agro-processing (food conservation, fish smoking, rice and cassava milling), youth education in craftsmanship (masonry, carpentry, black smith, electrician, plumbing, handicrafts, production of bee hives), micro credits, marketing & business development for cooperatives/ women groups

-Conflict Management/ Protection: Civil conflict mediation, women’s rights, violence against women/ children, trauma recognition & counselling

-WASH: hygiene promotion/ awareness raising, provision of hygiene kits, construction of latrines and wells, establishment and training well management committees and community WASH teams; 

-Education: Rehabilitation and construction of schools, Adult literacy (300), training of teachers (42)

-Health: Reproductive health, construction of incinerators for one hospital and three health centres, training of health management committees.
