INTRODUCTION:

The  Climate Resilient Water Governance Activity  in Pakistan is an anticipated $10-25M USAID-funded four-year project that aims to promote more resilient water governance and management systems in Pakistan to combat extreme weather events (floods and drought), exacerbated by climate change. Specifically, the activity plans to focus on improving community-led, cost-effective, and sustainable water systems in areas faced with flash floods/hill torrents across the country. This will be achieved by active participation of local communities and private sector for improvement/development of financially sustainable and/or market-oriented water management systems at a local scale. 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Winrock International (WI) is currently recruiting for the position of Chief of Party (COP) for an anticipated USAID-funded Climate Resilient Water Governance Activity in Pakistan. The COP will be the in-country manager and will have primary responsibility for providing overall project leadership, management, and technical direction to achieve the Activity’s goal under the general guidance of Winrock’s policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The Chief of Party will be based in Islamabad, Pakistan and report to Winrock’s Water Unit Director.  

 

The position is contingent upon receipt of donor funding.
