This is a full-time role with opportunity to work out of several Advisian offices across North America depending on your location.

You will help us bring innovative new water services, technologies and commercial strategies to address next generation mining needs. By helping us continue to deliver effective, value creating technical solutions, you will help us forge customer relationships to generate follow-on and repeat work. You will help us forge alliances with industry partners that enhance the value we deliver to customers. And, you will help us tell our story to customers, communities and industry through thought leadership, social media and business development. We want you to be a key resource for water for mining pursuits and projects.
Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
Water for Mining Business Development and Project Execution (approximate 80% workload): You will serve as a key global resource for mining to win and deliver water related mining projects. It is our expectation that the majority of the projects that you support will be in the mining market, however, you will also be a resource for support for critical projects in other market segments when support is needed that fits your expertise.
Your role in winning work will be to guide and support business development (BD), market and project delivery staff to network to industry professionals and organizations, recognizing client needs and developing differentiating technological offerings in response, and committing those concepts to written proposals and client presentations. For many of the projects won, you will be a key player in delivery of those projects, typically serving as the senior technical consultant (STC), responsible for maintaining relationships with the client’s technical teams, maintaining a common vision with the client’s teams for the end deliverables and helping us position for follow-on and repeat work.
Mining Industry Representation (approximate 20% workload): We will want you to establish yourself as a thought leader in the mining industry. We want you to support efforts to advance our understanding and response to industry needs and to build Worley’s brand position. This time would be spent continuing your active participation in key organizations, participating in targeted meetings and conferences, and meeting directly with other “non-client” network of regulators, policymakers, academics and other interested parties, including vendors.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental or Civil Engineering or related engineering or science discipline
- Licensed Professional (PE, P.Eng. or PG)
- At least 20 years of experience in consulting and detail design process engineering, business development, and project management, of water and wastewater management and treatment for the mining industry
- Strong team facilitation and client relationship building skills with proven capability to lead teams, mentor staff and teach developing engineers
- Understanding of business principles for selling and delivering consulting and design projects and related project delivery tools and metrics
- 10 years’ experience writing and communicating complex technical reports, proposals, and presentations
- Proven experience working with project managers to deliver successful projects to our clients
- Ability to travel across North America and worldwide.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD or Master’s in Chemical Engineering or related discipline is desirable, but, not required
- Business development and project delivery of water and wastewater management and treatment solutions for the mining, metals and mineral processing industry
- Location flexible
- Spanish language skills are a plus
- Direct operations or mine water technology applications engineering experience is a plus.
Salary Range - $200,000 - $260,000
