Tetra Tech Secures $1bn USAID Water Contract

Tetra Tech has secured a $1bn contract to support implementation of the US Agency of International Development's (USAID) Water and Development Strategy
Under the five-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, Tetra Tech will provide engineering and consulting services for enhancing access to clean water and sanitation.
It will strengthen worldwide food security via the sustainable management of water in agriculture.
The company will support in collecting and analyzing data to evaluate water issues, develop water management strategies, and design new approaches to enhance the delivery of water services in developing countries.
Tetra Tech chairman and CEO Dan Batrack said: "Tetra Tech is pleased to continue supporting USAID in providing innovative solutions to address critical water issues around the world."
Earlier this month, Tetra Tech won a five-year, $20m multiple-award contract from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) National Homeland Security Research Center (NHSRC).
Tetra Tech will support testing, evaluation, and reporting to address chemical, biological, radiological and other contaminating agents.
