Dehydrated treatment method for aging oil
Published on by Lin JYH-YAN, advanced engineer at FORMOSA PETROCHEMICAL CORPORATION in Technology
Dear all,
The aging oil from refinery could contain 50% water, and the water is not easy to separate with the waste oil, what is the substance in the aging oil to impede, and some tests could view and check , such as extraction by solvent or water, and compare the relations between the oil-water separation effect and extracted substances?

1.the quantity is 30~40 M3/d
2.the aging oil cannot separate by gravity even for 7 days.
3. we analysis the water of aging oil is about 55%, and we have no idea to analysis any more.

Morning!
Spraying of heated oil under a vacuum of 0.05 ATM. Water removal up to 100% and oil rejuvenation by viscosity. Сhecked many times.

Good morning, how are you?
A good method of separation will be the adsorption using an excellent oil adsorbent, being able to use the temperature and detergents to falicitate and to improve the separation. The breakage of the water-oil emulsion can be broken with an inorganic acid.Kind regards.

thanks, Dr.Carlos Catunda.,
the solvant or chemical is a test to check the character of aging oil. in the plant, we still plan to add come demulsifier to separate the water from the aging oil. we hope the aging oil after breakup , the oil can return to the process of refinery, and we wish the reaction mechanism of demulsifier is the same as the solvant or chemical.

Our Pro Clean water system uses passive filtration to remove >99.96 of hydrocarbons from wastewater. The medium has a leachate of <0.06%. Also effective for some chemicals and heavy metals.
