Does Nucleation Assisted Crystallization/Template Assisted Crystallization Really Work?

Published on by in Technology

I came across two interesting technologies i.e. NAC & TAC for scale prevention. They both declare that they change the nano-structure so that the formation of certain scale is prevented.

Does it really work?

As it does not remove hardness, will it still form scale after some time?

  1. We also manufacture and supply here in South Australia a particle physics electronic technology that removes and prevents scale from all surfaces in full time contact with treated water.

It is called Hydrosmart and we actively solve many issues from saline water, iron build up, removal and prevention of scale formation and more all by our computerised water technology that puts frequencies and pulses into H20 that causes agitation of the water molecule. www.hydrosmart.com.au

  2. We have a coating for metals that inhibits and removes rust and protects pipes and other boiler parts. Originally this material was developed for use in Nuclear Power Stations, where the intermediate protection of the stored electrodes had to be solved in a special way It is currently used in the Nuclear Power Station in Hungary.

The coating make it difficult for scale to form as it has nothing to grip to.

  3. They may work on once through systems under some conditions.  They shouldn't be used where the water is recycled.  There are some claims that it also kills bacteria, which I would want to test in practice and doubt that there would be a practical control of bacteria in water.

    1. why would you not use in a recycle scenario Don ?

      1. Because I found that they didn't work in the recycled situation and the only way to control scale using them meant a high wastage of water, which was self defeating.

  4. I use it with clients and it solves scale issues -it works.

What issues are you seeking to solve -if its scale prevention and removal from surfaces then simply put -it works ?

  5. TAC has been extensively tested in the lab and field. It does prevent scale formation in potable water. If you have more questions, please contact me directly. Thanks.
