Hello everyone.
I have a question how to calculate free chlorine injection capacity for cooling tower.(lit/hr)
Taxonomy

This calculation is a very important part of any cooling tower calculations. Chemical Calculation Based on Blowdown Chamical Quantity (Kg/hr) = Blowdown (m3 /hr) * ppm / 1000. Chlorine Dose - amount of chlorine added to the system. It can be determined by adding the desired residual for the finished water to the chlorine demand of the untreated water. Chlorine Demand - amount of chlorine used by iron, manganese, turbidity, algae, and microorganisms in the water. Theoretically, the evaporation quantity of water is 1.8 m 3 for every 10,00,000 Kcal heat rejected. #9. Windage or Drift Loss: It is very difficult to ignore the drift problem in a cooling tower. This has a bearing on the basics of load sizing as well - LOAD SIZING FOR EXTRUSION APPLICATIONS: Pipe, Profile, and Sheet Air Ring Cooling @ 105 CFM = 1 ton (50°F air @ 78°F WBT) 40# / hr Polyolefins = 1 ton (minimun Flow is 4.8 GPM / ton) Air Compressors with no after cooler = .1 ton / HP Water-Cooled Chiller = Each ton of chiller requires 1 ton of cooling tower
