Functional bacteria for removing organic deposits in (cooling) water cycles ?

Does anybody have experience with using functional bacteria for removing and preventing organic deposits in cooling- or process water cycles?

Bacteria are normally responsible for causing organic deposits, which are controlled by disinfection.
