Remote Dosing Pump
Published on by Nilam Patel, Water Innovation Network - Network Coordinator in Technology
During Winter and summer months for maintenance technicians manually change the dosing level in watre supply. There are times in the year where the dosing limits could be altered sooner than the manual jobs that are being raised, potentially saving in a large chemical costs.
Looking for a dosing pump to be remotely controlled from a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to dose at different set points depending on different circumstances. Ideally the pump would need to be controlled through a 4 – 20 mA control loop input or through pre defined digital inputs. If you know some pumps or systmes, please write with detailed specifications.

this can be done and we have a solution i may need more details , you can write to me at jf@jsenviro.org

Yes you need many more details. I do this for a living. What are you pumping, how many dosing points, total amount per day, dosing cycle, I can go on. But without all the information. No one can give a solution that makes sense.
I have sites that I change remotely daily, others change themselves as needed, and yet others that ask to be changed.

Hi There, I can supply proportional dosing pumps with remote login as per your specification. Please tell me min and max flow rates. Please call me +44 7415 121778

Roy Howard please provide specifications as requested also so that the information is available to others on the platform without having to call you

We have a range of pumps for this purpose. It is not possible to put all the specifications on this platform. If I can get min and max flow rate, I can specify the correct pump.

A reaction, usually the controller runs a power circuit and the pump is driven by that so the existing pump is ok, some have the controller built-in now for IoT, still a controller can check conditions on a schedule to run the pump, set how long it runs or sense when to turn it off autonomously, wireless handy for monitoring.
