  1. The future of water management in the world depends on the adoption of various  solutions: desalination is just one of them, as important as the others. Reuse of treated water, rational use of groundwater, desalination, adoption of efficient solutions, saving awareness in use for all users. And environmental conscience to be clear that water is a heritage of all and a resource for all

  2. Water Future

Better water management is certainly going to dilute the problem but the current situation indicates that we are far away from following the Better Water Management practices. Governments are taking initiatives towards it. But it is hard to make people realized the issue in the countries where the water scarcity is not a problem. The countries which are facing the scarcity are the one who are taking the concrete steps but still the result is not visible. In this scenario where getting the quick access of water to the population is important, Desalination is the answer.Desalination is a costly affair and needs lots of technical expertise but in recent situation desalination is more needed. But everyone has to get habituated to better water management practices even after the desalination water is available.

  3. Meeting the water challenges in any country for the future will require a nationally formulated approach with a clearly defined strategy and hierarchy of objectives. This approach involves formulating a strategic goal, as well as setting out purposes to contribute to that goal. To satisfy the goal, it should be recognised that other sectors must provide tangible benefits which contribute to the improvement of the public living standards. The national goal can be defined as “to improve significantly the living condition of the people in a sustainable manner”. Water resources strategy outputs can contribute to this overall goal through the realisation of a preparation period, a short-term goal and a long-term goal. These can be defined as follows: • Preparation period: The devising of a comprehensive water resources strategy supported and managed by capable institutions, which provides tangible benefits to people in line with the fulfilment of basic needs. • Short-term goal: The implementation of a comprehensive water resources strategy, providing substantial benefits to people in fulfilment of their basic needs as well realisation of other benefits of water use in a sustainable manner. • Long-term goal: The maximisation of the sustainable benefits of water use in the country.
