Conveying manure at 13% solids
Published on by Thomas Getz, President at Earth Cycle BioTechnologyLLC in Technology
Our project requires dewatering swine manure from 2% solids to achieve 13% solids. We recognize that this is not flowable like a slurry nor stackable like a dry cake. Does anyone have advise on how to convey this wet cake into a truck?
Much appreciated

Hi Tom! There are several sludge pumps that will handle that type of solids. the http://www.schwingbioset.com is an example.

Depends on quantity. If it is less then positive displacement pumps like screw pump is advisable.

You can look at the feasibility of using a Mud Cleaner vibrating screen, with or without hydrocyclone, great option for dewatering high concentration solids. http://www.vortexfluidsystems.com/products-6.htm?id=7

A mud pump must be used to put it in a watertight tank to be deposited in the truck.
Thank you very much. -
Screw press or centrifugal decanter on elevation and dump the 13% DS slurry in a tank. Get a Vacuum Truck to collect this

Dear Sir
Greetings!
Could you send a video / photo of the product which needs dewatering.
We have the technology to offer a solution. IF you have a laboratory analysis of the solids it will be useful for further discussion.
