Marine WWTP Bidding
Published on by ELMALIEH IBRAHIM, HEAD OF WATER PROJECTS IMPLEMENTATION UNIT at EASTERN SUDAN RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT FUND in Market Info
Am bidding on Marine WWTP near Port Sudan at the Red Sea.
There is an old plant of 14 cum/day a designed to serve forty people only.
Now the number increase and plant capacity is too low and tertiary treatment bypassed. A new plant to serve 120 people is required and daily capacity is determined it is 40 cum per day.
The attached document is full of details. Please refer to the document and help me to present a competitive offer.
Thanks

My alternative solution removes parts of your project from 2 to 4.3 which is a serious financial economy.
To date your sanitation device and your project, produces 1 kg/day of fecal matter that will be processed at the terminal Wastewater Management site in 1kilogramme/day of muddy rédisus of fecal matter.
The alternative solution produces 1 kg/day of fecal matter, but ZERO gram of muddy residues at the wastewater management site.
I made the same planning proposal to the territorial entity of a city of Tunisia of 180 000 inhabitants.

I'll be very happy to see your alternative option .
Thanks .

Bonjour Elmalieh Ibrahim
Est il possible de vous soumettre une proposition différente du projet détaillé en pièce jointe?
Une solution plus simple, beaucoup plus économique et biologique.
Hello Elmalieh Ibrahim
Is it possibile to submit a different proposal to the detailed project as an attachment?
A simpler, much more economical and organic solution.

Dear Mr. Ibrahim,
Waste water generation is 333 l/person/day. Its is too high.
The recommended water consumption is in the range of 90 to 150 LPCD.
You can use our Patented Deep Tanks Aeration system which has low energy and area foot print.
If space is available Zero Energy Natural Treatment Process can be used.
Please write fo further details on sarafrv@virajenvirozing.com

Dear Mr Elmalieh,
I didn’t received the plant flow sheet but I hope that my considerations can help you.
Two questions:
1) Why so big holding tank (30 hours HRT!)? In any case, the holding tank must be aerated.
2) Why the screen after the holding tank?
Considering your very low flow and organic load, I recommend SBR plant instead continuous activated sludge plant.
To have very simple and efficient plant I propose:
-Screen
-Pumps
-SBR (low charged, composed by two aeration tank 35 m3 each)
-Blowers
-Holding tank and chlorination reactors V: 10 m3 with mixer
-Pumps
-Pressure sand filter
-Sand dry bed.
I know that my design is very generic because I don’t know your local and specific requirements so please use it as an idea.
Best regards

It is a good project.
I think you could think in an MBBR that is more efficient nad easier to operate than than an activated sludge system.
Could it be quoted to the final user?
Can ssome other technologies be used for this in this treatment?
