Mercury Testing - What's Your Thoughts on the Technology?
Published on by Rod Holden, Natural Impact Group - Executive Chairman in Technology
I'm interested in sourcing a device that can provide rapid, accurate and portable measurement of mercury at the ppb level.
I saw the Ocean optics adverts, but after 3 emails asking for prices, I still haven't heard from them, so not sure what to make of that.
Has anyone used these devices (QE-series spectrometers) or similar and what are your experiences and opinions?
We're looking to do 800 sites, any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance

You didn't mention what media you want to sample, but have you looked at AAS products from Lumex Instruments? I believe they have a portable AAS specific for mercury and adaptable for multiple medias.

You can try this analyzer which ranges from 0.01 ppb to 100 ppm.
