Polyelectrolytes are used for coagulation flocculation in primary treatment of water, both purification and wastewater, in general, the cationic is used in coagulation and the anionic in flocculation, this is not a norm, it is determined in pitcher tests.Who provides them, google searches chemical houses distributors of polymers
