  1. With all due respect, different algae blooms depending on toxicity require different treatment methods. Funding has been only available for research, testing and monitoring NOT commercial algae bloom remediation. Research, testing and monitoring has proven not to fix the problem to date.  Algae bloom remediation technologies must be proven outside the lab, be scalable and be economically viable before put into commercial remediation deployment for toxic and non-toxic algae blooms.

Open Collaboration + Innovation = Algae Bloom Remediation. NAA is bringing together all algae bloom and red tide stakeholders to educate each other and come up with commercially viable solutions.

With the permission from algae bloom and red tide researchers and remediation technology companies we will be posting information and results on the National Algae Association website after our Algae Bloom Remediation Workshop. (see below).

Join the agriculture community, algae bloom researchers and remediation technology experts as they tackle the devastating algae bloom and red tide problems through open collaboration.

  2. Basheer Alzafiri please provide more details as asked previously so that members time is not wasted. Thanks David Russell , I agree. Was on the edge as to whether to publish this questions, but agreed to in the effort of education for everyone.

  3. The EPA Treatment standards are water quality based, and each location could have different standards depending upon its position in a river  basin.  There are some effluent guidelines which are general, and tend to be industry specific, but mostly that does not include toxics, which can be the limiting factor in your discharge permit..

In the EU it is up to the countries themselves to develop their own standards. So you need to be specific as to which country you are considering.  As far as I know, there is no unified "treatment standard".

I would also comment that your request is overly broad
