Keynotes Announced for UV Water & Wastewater Treatment Conference Dr. Mihaela Stefan will keynote the Municipal Drinking Water session at the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) World Congress, September 17-20, in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Dr. Stefan, a Senior Research Scientist with Trojan Technologies, will present on UV-Chlorine AOP for Water Treatment: Understanding the Science, Recognizing the Challenges . In addition, Prof. Ernest (Chip) Blatchley, Professor of Civil Engineering and Environmental and Ecological Engineering from Purdue University, is keynoting a session on Ballast Water Treatment , with a lecture on Ballast Water Performance Standards: Should They be Based on “Viable” or “Live/Dead?” Dr. Peter Sperfeld, Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) will kick off the event with a Plenary talk on Calibration of Reference Radiometers for UV Water Disinfection.
