Waste water treatment from cuttings with drilling mud for industrial use and construction of drilling fluid:The amount of water resources and pe...

The amount of water resources and per capita consumption in Iran and some countries is very high. According to the Falcon Mark Index, Iran is on the verge of a water crisis, with more than 70% of all renewable water consumed in this country. In South America, the daily withdrawal of water from rivers and surface waters is limited according to the standard of that country, and therefore the volume of water used in drilling rigs is consequently limited.
At present, wastewater (with pH ≤ 6) is used in drilling rigs only for washing, which has caused problems such as skin diseases and heartburn for consumers due to microbial contamination and its foul odor While fresh water is used to make drilling fluid (mud).
We devised measures and at the lowest cost we were able to treat de-watering waste water (without any microbial contamination for the environment and the consumer) And then return it to the daily consumption cycle. Today, this water is used for washing as well as making drilling fluid (mud). A pound of different consumables cost less than one- dollar ($1) to purify 60 liters of this water.
De-watering operations in oil drilling wells are the sum of chemical and physical processes to separate solid particles from liquid. These chemical processes include flocculation and coagulation Which is the reaction of solid charged particles with coagulants and flocculants and for this purpose, a pack (poly aluminum chloride) and a polymer (polyelectrolyte) are used. These materials cause particles to clot and clump.
Focal values of coliform and total coliform measured in the laboratory for de-watering waste water are 360 and 2300, respectively, as well as 2.2≥ and 360 for purified water. Therefore, purified water has no microbial contamination and has the necessary standard limit for consumption.
