What should we do when we come across below problems during the sewage treatment process? Let’s look at some main issues and their corresponding solutions!

1, Sludge turning white
Causes: Lack of nutrition, excessive proliferation of filamentous bacteria or fixed ciliates, and poor growth of bacterial colonies; High or low pH value can cause a large growth of filamentous bacteria, resulting in loose sludge and larger volume.
Solution: Adjust the inlet load and ammonia nitrogen drip rate according to the nutrient ratio, and maintain a suitable pH value.

2, Sludge swelling, floating sludge, and death of active microorganisms
Causes: Improper control of sludge age, insufficient or excessive aeration, unstable organic load, etc.
Solution: Adjust the MLSS value (suspended solids in the mixed solution), add nitrifying sludge or nitrogen and phosphorus components, and increase the aeration rate.

3, The effluent contains fine activated sludge
Cause: System malfunction, such as sludge running out, etc.
Solution: Check and repair system faults to ensure that sludge does not leak out
