New York Institute of Technology's Water Management and Global Challenges Conference in Beijing Across the world, natural resources management and conservation is critical, regardless of a nation’s gross domestic product. Addressing sustainability to meet the most basic humanitarian and economic needs requires a blending of science, technology, and policy. These needs include access to clean and sufficient water, electricity, and essential infrastructure to sustain local economies and protect public health. The phrase "water is the new oil," is becoming a harsh reality as droughts, weather shifts, pollution, and population increases have all begun to pose a dire threat to the world's water resources. We believe that one way to address these challenges is through on-going collaboration; bringing people together to share ideas, technologies, and methodologies. The New York Institute of Technology is hosting the Water Management And Global Challenges conference in Beijing on October 15 and 16, 2012 to discuss advances in technology, innovation, health, and policy. Meet with colleagues and join the discussion with the world’s leading experts as we explore innovations impacting global health, water policy, breakthroughs in water science and engineering, and more.
