Dear All I am currently working at the(United Nations University - Institute for Environment and Human Security) (UNU-EHS) in Bonn on a project consisting in the implementation of the Institute of Energy and Water Science of the Pan African University (PAUWES) hosted by the University of Tlemcen in Algeria. A key objective of PAUWES is to train the best students to become engineers and policy analysts, able to address Africa’s most pressing development challenges. To achieve this, a practice-oriented education and professional experience are essential. This could be realized through Interactions between PAUWES and accredited actors from the private sectors of Africa and Germany as well as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) related to water and energy. Therefore, I am presently setting up a pool of those potential actors. My focus is the development of a network of private sector actors and NGOs both local and from the diaspora having expertise in energy or water technology and prepared to cooperate with PAUWES. The target group of private sector concerns stable local enterprises in the informal sector as well as SMEs and NGOs both local or from the diaspora (energy or water).
