The Netherlands' Watersnood Museum recalls the devastating 1953 North Sea flood. It not only serves as a memorial to those lost but raises awareness about the nation's need for flood defense. Last June, as part of the US-Netherlands Professional Exchange Program, a group of U.S. water management professionals had the chance to tour the Museum and learn about efforts across the Netherlands to build public support for continued flood protection efforts.  This travel article provides a brief overview of the museum.  http://europeupclose.com/article/watersnood-museum-netherlands/
