The proposed Anaerobic Wastewater Treatment plant will support Thames Water in achieving its environmental, waste management, and decarbonisation objectives by converting crude sewage into renewable energy and potential nutrient products.
As we develop our commercial strategy and technical specification for Anaerobic Wastewater Treatment systems, we are seeking feedback from experienced operators, technology providers, engineering consultants, and integrators with expertise of anaerobic wastewater treatment and wider bioresource sector.
This engagement is not a call for competition and does not formally commence any procurement process. Instead, it aims to:
• Test the level of market capacity and interest in the forthcoming opportunity
• Explore innovative technologies, delivery models, and performance approaches
• Identify potential risks, dependencies, and considerations for project design
• Inform Thames Water's decision making ahead of any formal procurement activity
Suppliers who express interest may be invited to participate in market engagement sessions, questionnaires, or one to one discussions. All feedback received will be used solely to shape the Authority's future strategy
