We are seeking expert insights from the global water community regarding our proposed River Tapi Dredging Project, envisioned as a research-based initiative for river rejuvenation, flood prevention, and protection of sensitive ecosystems such as the Hazira Mangroves.

Despite detailed technical justification, including river flow analysis, slope and bed-roughness data, and the demonstrated need to prevent backflow conditions as outlined in our project note (see dredging rationale and hydrological parameters in the proposal letter, p. 1–3; also supporting visuals in project map, p. 4), the project has not progressed as expected.

We kindly request experts to share their views on potential technical bottlenecks, environmental concerns, regulatory gaps, hydrodynamic limitations, or stakeholder-alignment issues that may be hindering this initiative. Your professional opinions will help us refine the approach and strengthen its viability for long-term river health and climate resilience.
