Kick-off meeting of Smart.Met Phase I On 20 December 2018, the Phase I of the Smart.Met project (“Smart WaterMetering”) will officially start with a kicl-off meeting in Brussels, with presence of the SMART.MET consortium and the four companies to be awarded a Phase 1 contract of the pre-commercial procurement (PCP) of Smart.Met. This Phase, “Solution exploration and design”, will last until the end of March 2019.The aim of the smart.met project, led by a group of 7 water utilities, is to drive the development of new technologies to deal with the collection and management of smart metering data in water supply, through a joint Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP).During Phase 2, “Prototyping”, the selected six providers will develop an operational prototype of their solution, to demonstrate its capacity to answer the users’ needs. By the end of Phase 2, The Smart.Met-TAC   will issue a list of the three most-rated prototypes, plus an additional one as reserve.During Phase 3, “Field testing”, the three selected prototypes will be implemented simultaneously in each of the three testing sites (urban, rural, mixed sites), to test their robustness in different contexts, as well as their interoperability.More info at: http://www.smart-met.eu/
