This month Myanmar Brewery signed the final acceptance certificate for a new GWE turnkey wastewater treatment plant, contributing to the company’s sustainable development business approach. Several expertly engineered treatment steps will not only guarantee superior wastewater treatment efficiency compared to more conventional wastewater treatment systems but will also give the brewery the possibility of decreasing its dependency on fossil fuels.  Over 2,100 Nm3/day of biogas, generated in ANUBIX-B Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) reactor can be utilized as a green energy source in the steam boiler or for energy production in a CHP unit. With this volume of biogas produced, Myanmar Brewery can save an equivalent of 1,400 kilograms of fuel oil daily!---Benefit from GWE’s 30 years of operational experience, contact us today at mail.belgium@globalwe.com and allow our team of engineers to advise you on the optimal wastewater treatment options.

  1. Thank you, does this wastewater treatment has unused extra capacity for treating wastewater from neighbouring activities to potentially produce more biogas and sell wastewater treatment services?
