THE WATERLINKS FORUM 2016 - Manila, Philippines / 5-7 October 2016 Asia’s water utilities are operating in complex and demanding urban environments.  WATERLINKS  has been helping many of them to become more capable and efficient since 2008.  In 2016, however, we find ourselves in the grip of accelerating climate change.  About 3 out of every 4 persons in Asia and the Pacific are affected by water security concerns exacerbated by severe climate pressures.  These concerns beg the questions:  how do we adapt to more volatile climate conditions? And what are the technologies, approaches, and experiences that we can use to secure Asia’s urban water future?  It is in this context that we have designed the  WATERLINKS FORUM 2016:   BUILDING CLIMATE-RESILIENT WATER UTILITIES IN URBAN ASIA.  The Forum is designed for you to grasp  the totality of climate change and its specific impacts on water and wastewater services in Asia.  Uncertainty, scarcity, and stress will be a central feature of Asia’s urban water future – this Forum will pose the issues clearly, and debate credible solutions that benefit utilities, consumers, governments, industries, and business. We would like to invite you and your organization to join us at the  WATERLINKS FORUM 2016, from OCTOBER 5-7, 2016, at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Manila, the Philippines.   The Forum will feature (i) universally acclaimed speakers on water and climate sciences, (ii) high-quality technical sessions and planning workshops, and (iii) an international/national trade exhibition on water, wastewater and related sectors.  The Forum’s participants will include 300 water utility managers and staff, decision-makers, investors, development financiers, NGOs, technology suppliers, and experts from more than 20 countries, principally from Asia.  This will be your opportunity to not only understand the issues and options for Asia’s complex urban water future, but also to establish new alliances and ventures, as well as meet today's solutions providers and investors in troubled water and wastewater markets.
