EcoPeace Middle East Co-Directors Gidon Bromberg (Israel), Nada Majdalani (Palestine) and Yana Abu Taleb (Jordan) have jointly produced a new report - “COVID 19, Human Waste and Wastewater: A Discussion Paper for Cooperation on Water and Wastewater Management in Israel, Jordan and Palestine”.

The paper raises questions about the disposal of bodily waste into the environment given COVID 19 has been found to survive in human waste. “For Jordan, Palestine and Israel the question is particularly relevant as much wastewater remains untreated or poorly treated...and where it is treated, it is then widely reused for agriculture to grow food.”
