When start the filter, feed flow through the inlet to the inner screen surface, impurities continuously accumulated on the screen surface, which increasing the differential pressure between inner and outer screen. When the differential pressure meets the preset value 0.5bar(7psi), the differential pressure switch(PDS) send a signal to the controller to start backwashing cycle.
Backwashing
Filter starts backwashing the screen when differential pressure meets the preset value.
Opens the drainage valve and starts filter motor, motor rotates brushes spin inside the screen to clean the impurities, then sewage discharged from the drainage valve.
The backwashing cycle takes about 15-45 seconds, filter continues filtering during backwashing.
Backwashing cycle is controlled by the filter controller.
