This appears to be a notice section on this site.  I have discovered many well intentioned and caring people post their opinions with little or no knowledge of the topic being discussed. I have never advertised any sales or services on any site. least of all a small site like this one. Trudi has done a wonderful job piecing this site together to help people learn about water.  I am sure this site was not intended to be another facebook or twitter social opinion site. So the "Notice Of the Day" is * Feel free to ask questions.* The answer will be 100% scientific based. Those looking for individual solutions to their own circumstances need only clarify.  I have never advertised any goods or services on this small site.  I find it helpful if you do not like or understand an answer just ask. No one should ever feel bad because they did not understand current technologies. Trudi made this site to exchange ideas and learn from those extremely knowledgeable in their respective fields. In case anyone missed the point of this "NOTICE"! Information is always free. Just like water, air, energy. The more you learn the less it costs.

  1. Whilst concurring with Guy's sentiment  about the sheer number of irrelevant answers which mostly boil down to, 'Use my wonderful snake oil for everything'; I do think that many of the enquirers could help themselves by being a bit more specific in their questions. How many times do we see something along the lines of 'What is more important COD or BOD?' Well there isn't a general answer to that question other than refer to the specifics of your situation.

  2. Iam writng a PhD on optimisation of anaerobic digestion system as an alternative to sustainable mitigation on GHG Emissions in Tropical countries, a case study in Kenya. Kindly support with ideas, relevant articles etc. Rgds John Gakunga

  3. Hi all, The Water Network's mission is to provide a trusted source for knowledge sharing on water.

To make this effective it is structured to have different areas for different themes and types of engagement. This notice board is for general notices, or personal updates that members believe will be of value and interest to other members.

All discussions and curated thematic libraries can be found in the 180 groups and communities of Practice. The Smart Q&A tab provides special functionality to link the question with experts and related information who can help.

We aim to include the best open source tools to drive innovation in the sector starting with the WWTP Design Tool.

Finally, we aim to help everyone be more successful in your business. This includes leads for your products and services and finding the right talent for job openings. The business exchange is specifically purposed to do this efficiently. It is the most cost effective way to promote water products, services and job openings in the sector. It is also, critical to us being able to continue to offer The Water Network as a free service to all.

    1. Hi Guy, Notices are simple threaded comments, Not mean for curated knowledge that belongs in the Library. Comments to all content (except these notices) support uploading as many files as you wish.

    2. Thanks Trudi for the helpful description of the various groups and the Smart Q&A tabs.  If it is not too much trouble can your webmaster review the download section for papers and pictures.  The box can allow items to be placed in it. But has never allowed a single item to be attached to a comment section.  Every site has their own method. Would enjoy knowing yours.  Thanks again.
