Water as a Game with Poor Formers For the first time the idea of the construction of Gomal Zam Dam was given by the British rulers in 1899 and further approval for construction of the project was given by the government of Pakistan on 8th August 1963. In this connection the construction work started and remained in progress till 1965 but it was never completed. No one wants to know why? In this connection the government was decided to construct once again Gomal Zam Dam in this area on Gomal River in troubled South Waziristan Agency Pakistan. The project had initially been launched in July 2002 and was scheduled to be completed in September 2006.However; work on it remained on the brink for a long time due to not fixed situation in the project area and as a result the Gomal Zam Dam is never completed till now Jun 2014. Southern Districts of North West Frontier Province Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa KP have always been safe haven for the provincial and national corrupt mafia. Gomal Zam Dam has always been prime targets of some notorious designers, pseudo intellectuals and a bunch of misguided-hopeless civil engineers and so-called experts of our country Pakistan. These primitive creatures are clear that these people have little knowledge; they are troublemakers and also dangerously blank on Pakistan's long-term future interests. These are the people who have always tried to keep our country Pakistan in the dark ages. The local politics is in the hands of equally corrupt persons; they have been playing water as a game with poor formers by getting their votes in exchange of water. They know if the Gomal Zam Dam is constructed, their dirty politics will be ceased because majority of the poor peasant class will become rich and aware of their rights and competent enough to challenge their authority and solitary status as bogus leaders. They don't want water wisdom to prevail. They know if these artificially created crises are resolved forever their dirty politics will also disappear. These so-called leaders are doing politics on natural resources. They convert these insignificant issues into serious crisis to prolong their authority in the area. They discourage any sincere participation from the gross root stakeholders. They have been practicing this technique since many years. They are the enemies of the humanity living in this part of the world. Water is a global issue and special attention is required to address this problem. The Gomal Zam Dam shall irrigate a vast plain and geographically suitable tract of virgin land waiting since centuries to produce sufficient food for the people of Balochistan, North West Frontier Province Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa KP, Punjab and Sind. Its agriculture products can feed not only the people of Pakistan but also the neighboring countries of central Asia. The target- area is a slope from west to east ready to yield power generation, to boost trade and industry in Pakistan. Gomal Zam Dam will also promote economic activities in the North and South Waziristan agencies. The slope is so steep and sharp that the water level is bound to increase within the passage of time.
