Dear Patron,  I am working on the September 2016 issue and would like to invite you to contribute technical articles, case studies, research papers on  “Current Scenarios & Challenges of ETP, STP, WTP & WWTP” and facilitate a comprehensive perspective on the same. Please find below the theme note and do let us know if you could send us your article. Theme Note  India is a growing market for water and wastewater treatment plants owing to expanding urban population and rapid increase in demand for sophisticated municipal water and sewage treatment plants in the residential sector along with implementation of strict government regulations for industrial effluent discharge into rivers and other water bodies. As a consequence to the rising population and shrinking acreage, agriculture sector have to find adequate water sources for irrigation purpose to improve crop yield. The emergence of a new industry and manufacturing set up has not only put pressure on water requirements but also on water treatment. A major portion of the demand for wastewater treatment plants market comes from the municipal segment on account of increasing construction activities in the residential and commercial sectors. Besides, refineries also garner major share in India owing to large quantities of wastewater generated during various refining processes.  Considering these scenarios and challenges, there are huge potentials for the water and wastewater treatment plants in India.  As per the market research, India water and wastewater treatment plants market is projected to grow at a CAGR of over 12% during 2016-2021, owing to burgeon demand for wastewater treatment plants from municipal and industrial sectors. Stringent government norms issued by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) to ensure proper management and disposal of sewage is augmenting demand for construction of new sewage treatment plants in the country. With the governments’ initiative on the clean-up of River Ganga and new regulations on wastewater discharge against industrial polluters, there will be significant investment in the Indian municipal and industrial water markets. Innovative technologies, advanced plant upgrades and new wastewater treatment plants will be required to meet new demands, creating opportunities for local and international players. This scenario will give companies the unique chance to identify potential partners, competitors and routes into the market. Our September issue will be focusing on the Current Scenarios and Challenges of ETP, STP, WTP & WWTP given the opportunities and growing market for water and wastewater treatment plants. We would like to invite you to share your experiences in the form of articles, technical papers and case studies with our readers. Please inform us of your intent to contribute at the earliest, so that we can evaluate the articles for the publication.
