Environment Agency’s Flood and Coast Excellence Awards 2024 now open!

Do you have a project or innovation that manages flood risk, improves local flood resilience or adapts to the risks in a changing climate? If so, then get the recognition you and your teams deserve by submitting an application by 31 January 2024.

The prestigious awards provide a fantastic opportunity to promote the recent work and innovations happening across the flood and coastal community.

The categories for 2024 are:

Climate Resilient Places
Climate Resilient Blue and Green Infrastructure
Climate Resilient Built Environment
Community Action
Digital Excellence
Innovation and Resilience
Early Career Professional
WHO CAN APPLY

The Flood and Coast Excellence Awards are open to any project, scheme or initiative that has contributed to managing and building resilience to flooding and coastal erosion. This could be:

a single enterprise
a partnership involving consultants
contractors
risk management authorities
a community-level initiative
To be eligible, the project, scheme or initiative must have been completed or implemented between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2023. For work to be considered ‘complete’ or ‘implemented’, it must show that it provided or continues to provide an active benefit for people and the environment. There are no restrictions on the geographical location of the nominations submitted.

The awards will also recognise an inspirational individual in their early career within the FCERM community pursuing the goals of climate resilience places. You may nominate someone else or yourself for this award.
