Water Quality: the challenge of distributing water via aging pipes 8th March 2018, Birmingham CALL FOR PAPERS Water quality in the UK regulated water sector is some of the highest in the world, with more than 99.96% (England 2016, Water UK) delivered at or above compliance levels. But with ageing infrastructure and a vast structure of pipework to deliver through, the challenges to network operators to maintain such high levels of service as water passes through ageing pipework have never been greater. We are seeking abstracts on these challenges and to share practice on: Network water chemistry – how problems can manifest inside the network Water discolouration – best practice for prevention Customer perception and dealing with water quality events Latest developments in network water quality monitoring and management First hand experience from water companies and regulators Submitting an  Abstract If you would like to present a paper or poster at this conference, please submit an approximately 150 word summary of what you would like to speak on that includes:  A proposed title A concise summary of your contribution Author names and organisations, including contact details of the corresponding author. Please email all submissions by 17th July 2017 to clarehunter@aquaenviro.co.uk and we will let you know the result by 4th August. If you are successful, the papers will be ordered to establish the programme. You can see examples of papers including the abstracts (usually at the beginning of the paper) on our website http://www.aquaenviro.co.uk/events/event-proceedings-and-publications/. Exhibition:  A limited number of exhibition spaces will be available at the event – please contact clarehunter@aquaenviro.co.uk for further details.
