WINT - Water Intelligence "Leak of the Week"
Today our leak is about toilets and it is a blast! Meet Mikdan, who manages the ‘Kiryat Ha Leum’ buildings. The site includes 4 buildings. Most offices are government offices including a court and a detention center. On Saturday July 10th, WINT system alerted on an abnormal water event during the early morning hours (07:03 AM). The floor was empty with no other water use except this water event. The system automatically closed the valve according to the policy set for the weekends. On Sunday morning (almost 24 hours after the event) the maintenance manager opened the valve and shortly after, he found a broken pipe leading water to the toilet that was leaking. Without WINT this floor would have been flooded with over 21,600 liters and would have damaged the floor, the elevator and probably the other 2 floors below. The cost would have been $$$thousands to millions of dollars. On the video attached the maintenance manager is saying: “WINT saved me here from a serious flood”. #watersustainability #waterleaks #wintai
