I’ve seen two very different reactions to the Dutch "water square" concept.
One view: It's a brilliant way to manage flooding while creating community spaces that are used every day.
Another view: If runoff washes across streets, parking lots, or other urban surfaces, should there be concerns about kids playing in those areas after storm events?
Curious where others stand on this. Is this the future of resilient urban design, or are there public health considerations that deserve more discussion?
