  1. Hi Bruno, Thank you for sharing your presentation. CSO is a complex problem and is unlikely to have one solution that fits all. Detention of stormwater at the new development sites with limiting the outflow rates to the "pre-developed" site levels is one solution - here in Australia (where we have mainly separate systems) - that became a common practice for stormwater - and the requirement for most of new developments. Also the cost of this detention is the developer cost as part of compliance to the building permit. Once you do something with the combined system - the costs (incl. maintenance) will be borne by Municipality or water authority. At the point of CSO discharge we should have at least a screening device that stops the visible pollutants. Detention of the sullage is more challenging (going septic, smell etc.).
