As a corollary, we should also keep in mind that similar "special interests" can come into water resource discussions. We really do keep trying to do BETTER with more science, but we always need to remember that "Science" is NEVER 'settled'! It is always open for more scrutiny and questions. Always look for the real "stakeholders" in any proposals, and what motivates them fundamentally.
