Hi everyone, Mahbobullah Afaq- Director of Dam safety, Operation and Maintenance  Organization: Ministry of Energy and Water Country: Afghanistan Afghanistan produces about 49 billion cubic meters water per year but only used about its forty percent  for deference purpose in the country. The remaining amount of water flows to the  neighbouring countries. The main case is that Afghanistan couldn’t manage it is water due to lack of experts and knowledge in the field of Water Resources Management, River Basin Development, Integrated Water Resources Management, lack of budget and hydraulics Infrastructures. Because Afghanistan is one of the underdeveloped countries in the world and alike many other fields, need specialized manpower in the water resources sector.  Ministry of Energy and Water through the newly acquired knowledge to manage and control the water and increase uses of water inside the country specially for irrigation and hydropower ; having irrigation land in the country. Ministry of Energy and water reserved about 1.2 billion cubic meters via in reservoir across the country, the main case is that MEW is facing now for those are Dams that they need safety knowledge which we can save our dams in the country that  they was constructed or currently under construction in our country.       I would like to request from those colleagues which they are working in the field of Dam safety, Operation and Maintenance for Dams or large water infrastructures to share us their knowledge, guidelines,manuals, regulations, experience and lesson learn that we could solve our difficulties.Thanks,Eng, AfaqEmail: engmkrbp@gmail.comCell Phone: (+93)744735577  Kabul Afghanistan

    I read your presentation well

    It seems to me that today the problem is not how better and lot to consume water but rather to preserve it, not to lose it.

    Leaving to other countries your water resources contribute to the water supply of the land population. Some of your water also comes from outside your country.

    The problem is not in the consumption, in the surconsomamtion in the deterioration of the quality of the water, which is not doubted nevertheless serves to a large extent to the food of the populations.

    The problem nowadays is to consume this water better so as not to lose it.

    Indeed the water consumed becomes waste water which is rejected by the facilities of your country in the natural hydraulic environments that pass through it. These wastewaters pollute clean consumable water. The countries in the watershed see polluted water going through their country. And so on, biological sanitation has the advantage of no longer rejecting wastewater in natural water environments. This concpet preserves the quality of a scarce resource: drinking water. But also the quality of the fauna and the aquatic flora.
