The positive contribution of IWRM can never be over Emphasized in today and future Global Water Agenda. When fully upheld, IWRM tends to inclusive to the extent of reflecting on undocumented native knowledge and water management practices at all societal strata as is currently the case of Southern Africa.

The IWRM approach has brought in a new paradigm shift in SADC Region by bringing together government institutions, agencies, large scale commercial farmers, communal farmers, youths and the poor, women to reshape their perceptions and views in water resources developmental programmes at initial stages, a practice which had never been experienced before through the held and courtesy of the Global Water Partnership Southern Africa ( GWP-SA)
