Dear members of the Groundwater Remediation group, I am delighted to announce my recent nomination as Manager of the group. I wish to thank TWN for the confidence placed on me. I would also like to thank Dr. Vidhya Chittoor Viswanathan for her work as former Manager. She has promoted exciting debates on different topics related to groundwater, surface water, their interactions and many others. I hope she will keep on actively cooperating. About me: civil engineer and hydrogeologist with 20 years’ of experience in the conceptual and numerical modelling of watersheds, including both surface and groundwater resources and, especially, their interactions. My expectations: as I read it, the title of group is slightly biased towards water chemistry / quality. In my view, we should concentrate not only on this interesting topic, but also on others like water quantity, modelling, etc. In broad sense, we should consider all topics related to groundwater, from research to practical applications.
