While "smart technology" provides us with the ability to rapidly communicate and analyze data, one should never forget the old maxim "GIGO = Garbage In - Garbage Out". Large data set analysis does provide some progress towards an OVERVIEW of the neglected and crumbling water infrastructure, but significantly better measurement is required if we are to minimize the gap between water supply availability and ACTUALLY DELIVERED water.
