Merry Christmas 2016 and Happy New Year 2017 to all. You may start your New Year 2017 making support to our Clean Water program - https://goto.gg/25585 The problem we are addressing: Clean water is a source of life. But it is practically non-existent in the coastal region of Bangladesh. This is partly, due to the global warming and sea level rise that causes the low lying areas of the world to sink –the coastal areas of Bangladesh are among them, and partly because of two catastrophic cyclones - Cyclone Sidr (15 November, 2007), and Cyclone Aila (25 May, 2009), that hit the coastal areas of Bangladesh within a short span of time. During the Cyclone Sidr (again at the time of Cyclone Aila) tidal surges engulfed the embankments and intruded into the locality. Since then salinity in the surface water, such as ponds and rivers increased many-folds and have become unusable for drinking and other household purposes. On the other hand, ground water in the area is contaminated with Arsenic and is not safe anywayem. We use Reversed Osmosis System to make water clean.
