I suggest the governments in the world are responsible of bad state of affairs in the water sector. Governments plan development works without involving the local people, which result in untold hardships to them. The people's representatives in the parliament of a country and in assemblies in provinces have failed to fulfil the aspirations of the people in the areas represented by them. I suggest the water resources and other natural resources should be owned by the sub basin / basin councils with one representative from every village of the basin / sub basin. The development works in the basin related to the water resources and other natural resources must be first approved by the council and the provincial or national government must take further action as decided by these councils

  1. Rajasthan High court has asked the government for removal of obstructions in the catchment area of Ramgarh dam . Court has also asked the Rajasthan Government to remove obstructions from the flow area of Amanishah tributary ( nala, as locally called). Obstructions are being removed and a nine story building was demolished on 16 th September 2012 . Jaipur. A historical step was taken against encroachment in Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, when the nine story building of Era Group, which was illegally constructed in the catchment area of Amanishah nallah was razed to ground in just five seconds on Sunday evening, using dynamites. Experts from Indore ( MP ), under S B Sarwate, demolished the building, using dynamites. The building was situated in Japath’s Shyam Nagar area.Jaipur. More buildings of this group and other groups are to be demolished soon, probably during current month, September 2012.
