SAWI Water Innovation and Green Future Africa Sign Strategic Partnership to Advance Environmental Solutions Across West Africa!
SAWI Water Innovation (SAWI), an Australian environmental technology and innovation organisation, and Green Future Africa (GFA), a Senegal-based sustainability, climate finance and capacity-building organisation, are pleased to announce the signing of a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The partnership establishes a collaborative framework to identify, develop and support environmental, water, climate resilience and circular economy opportunities throughout West Africa, with an initial focus on Senegal, Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.
The agreement brings together SAWI’s practical environmental technologies and project development expertise with GFA’s regional networks, stakeholder engagement capabilities and knowledge of African sustainability and development priorities.
Shared Vision
Both organisations share a commitment to delivering practical, scalable and sustainable solutions that improve environmental outcomes while supporting economic and community development.
The partnership will focus on:
Water quality improvement and protection
Pollution interception and prevention

Short-Term Objectives
Over the next twelve months, SAWI and GFA will work together to:
Identify priority environmental challenges and opportunities in West Africa.
Engage governments, utilities, research institutions and community stakeholders.
Explore pilot and proof-of-concept projects.
Assess opportunities for climate finance and development funding.
Develop local capacity through knowledge exchange and training.
Establish collaborative relationships with universities, research organisations and industry partners.
Support environmental stewardship and sustainable economic development initiatives.
