How can we take steps toward improved water-use efficiency in some of the world's most arid regions? Residents of the Middle East are intimately familiar with the ways that water scarcity shapes every aspect of daily life. Can chronic water stress be eased during an era when growing populations and climate change are placing unprecedented pressure on the region's limited water resources? In Jordan, Lebanon, the West Bank and Gaza, communities are implementing a variety of interventions to improve water-use productivity, and - just as importantly - change public mindsets about water conservation. What might other water-stressed communities in the region learn from their experiences? Do you think the likelihood of improved water-use sustainability grows or decreases as water scarcity intensifies, or does the answer depend on the country? For some insights on USAID's perspective, please have a look at the following feature in Global Waters magazine, "Improving Water Services for a More Water Secure Middle East," and be sure to share your thoughts! https://medium.com/usaid-global-waters/improving-water-services-for-a-more-water-secure-middle-east-560923118f16#.wo6etn5r1
