The team here at WaterVest LLC is excited to be a part of The Water Network and have this opportunity to collaborate with global water professionals. Please allow us to introduce ourselves.. WaterVest LLC is a small start up focused on alleviating water insecurity with our patented, "WaterVest." WaterVest is a new water distribution device used to eliminate the “last mile problem”. The objective of WaterVest is as simple as its design; to provide water sufficient for small groups and families while reducing time, logistics, disease spread, and environmental burden. WaterVest is a wearable bladder or “vest” that allows an individual to carry up to 32 liters of water at a time. It is lightweight, inexpensive, ergonomically designed to distribute load, and reduces spread of infectious disease by eliminating “double dipping” as well as allowing for heating of water with solar energy to cook with. The WaterVest team, partner NGO, Infinium Humanitarian Systems, and board of trusted disaster response advisors believe that WaterVest will significantly benefit impoverished communities and enable young women to use the time saved previously fetching water to obtain an education.  WaterVest's simple design yet high potential for impact has been revered by notable disaster response experts such as: Rich Carmona:  Former Surgeon General of the United States Dave Paulison: Former Director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Colleen Conway-Welch: Former Dean of Vanderbilt University's School of Nursing Colonel (Ret.) Gilead Shenhar: Expert in Emergency and Disaster Response assessment and planning and in Multi-Agency /Multi-Disciplinary Operational Response.  We look forward to our future with The Water Network.
