India is the largest producer and consumer of Dairy products in the world.  Milk concentration is an important process in dairy industries necessary for various process viz, storage, transportation, product diversification etc. It accounts to more than 50% of all unit operation involve in this sector. Membrane based concentration is the most energy efficient and faster/economical without reduction in whole nutritional value of the product. Owing to contamination prone nature of the product, thermal sterilization at regular interval is very important to the process. Polymer membrane is thermally instable. Considering the country’s techno-economical aspect, KERASIEV ® Ceramic membrane is the only option till date in India.

  1. Milk produced by native breeds in India is preventive health care tonic  worth its weight in gold . Unfortunately added water used by manipulators and adulterators  dominating the milk procurement  value chain in India  is neither chemically pure nor microbiologically safe for human consumption. when milk containing added water is evaporated during manufacturing process for value addition chemical impurities become part of the finished product so it fails to comply with international quality requirements relating to purity of contents. Pure milk and pure water is therefore essential prerequisite for us to face emerging cut throat  global competition in dairy foods.
